RESM 4190 – Project Assignment

RESM 4190 – Project Assignment

RESM 4190 – Project Assignment #2 (40 points)

Note: All the information you are collecting in the project assignments will be used to complete

the final project. Therefore, the better job you do now, the less work you will have to do for the

final project. Also, keep copies of all this information as you will be using it again.

You must cite all information obtained from places other than your own personal experience and

knowledge using APA format. The assignment should be in your own words. It is acceptable to

use information from the Internet and other sources if they are properly cited. However, you

cannot just cut-and-paste a bunch of content you find on the Internet and/or other sources. This

is plagiarism and you will not get credit for this.

CAUTION: A “detailed” sentence means it explains something and has the proper sentence

structure. For example, “According to Toyota’s 2019 Form 10-K, the company had a gross

revenue of $8.94 billion.” Conversely, the sentence, “Gross revenues = $8.94 billion.” is not a

detailed sentence and it will not count toward your minimum number of sentences.

they provide a service, etc.).

o Provide details for at least two sources of revenue and approximately what

departments, regions, business structure/hierarchy, etc.) and what revenue

streams does each business unit have?

o Approximately what percentage of total revenue and/or total employees do these

business units account for (you may not be able to find exact percentages, but you

should be able to locate an estimate).

Section 3 – Ownership (10 points)

? Identify and describe your company/organization’s ownership.

? Provide at least 10 detailed sentences explaining the company/organization’s majority

o Who are the largest shareholders of the company (you must provide at least three

entities and/or individuals) and what percent share do they own?

o Who are the company’s officers and/or executives (i.e., CEO, CFO, COO, President,

Vice-President, Board of Directors, etc.)?

Section 4 – Common Shareholders (5 points)

? Identify and describe your company/organization’s common shareholders.

? Provide at least 5 detailed sentences explaining common shareholders.

o How do you become a common shareholder?

o Does your company provide dividends to common shareholders, and if so, how

this assignment).

? Provide the current stock price (no need for any explanation in this section).

? Provide a link to the website you found the stock price (You can just cut-and-paste the

hyperlink).

Submitting the Project Assignment to Canvas (2.5 points)

? The project assignment MUST be submitted as a single PDF document.

? All five sections listed above should be included in the document and in the exact order

they are listed:

o Section 1 – Primary / Core Business

o Section 2 – Subsidiaries
