This final exam is worth 100 total points, with point values for each question listed after the question. Excessive spelling and grammar errors will result in a deduction of points. You answers should be in essay format and use citations when necessary. You may use your book, but no outside sources are allowed. APA format is required. Double-spaced paragraphs are required. 12-point Times New Roman font is required. Failure to follow these formatting instructions will result in a point deduction of a minimum of 10 points.
NO LATE EXAMS WILL BE ACCEPTED. NO EXCEPTIONS. Exam must be in .doc or .docx format to be graded. Exams uploaded in any other format will NOT be graded (this included pages format and .pdf). Exam must be uploaded to the designated dropbox before the dropbox closes. The dropbox closes at exactly 12:30pm, on May 7, 2020. Emailed exams will not be accepted, so dont ask and dont send it. Exams that do not meet these formatting and uploading requirements will not be graded.
Your exam will be checked for plagiarism. Plagiarism and group work on this exam will result in a failing grade on this exam and may result in a failing grade in the class. No exceptions.

1. In essay format :
There have been recent calls to defund the police. First, find three locations in the US where budgets have been cut, or proposed to have been cut. Analyze this issue using both sides of the argument (those for and against defunding the police). Include the information on militarization of police and the issues we saw in the Hollywood shootout videos. Be sure to include the following: where, the reasons why, the potential long-term effects, the current short-term effects, current crime issues in the defund areas. Finally, what is your opinion on the movement to defund the police.
Answer must be in essay format. You may use any information from the news media, op eds. or editorial posts, but they must be major sources (Networks, AP related stories, etc.)
