Lesson Plan
Based on the student with ASD that you have been observing in your Field Experience, write a lesson plan using the GCU Lesson Plan located on the College of Education’s page in the Student Success Center that is aligned to an academic state standard.
Incorporate in the lesson plan any social, behavioral, communication, sensory regulation, academic, and/or executive functioning skills that also need to be taught.
APA format is not required, but solid academic writing is expected.
This assignment uses a rubric. Please review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.
10 hours Field Experience
Return to the site with the student with ASD and present your intervention plan created in the Benchmark, after incorporating IEP team feedback. Next, implement the Intervention plan. After implementing the plan, write a reflective essay of 500-750-words discussing the following:
What you revised in the plan based upon IEP team feedback
Results of the intervention;
Discussion of which interventions were successful and which interventions failed;
What you learned from your experiences; and
Evaluate your progress in using the Ziggurat model to service the needs of an individual with ASD.
Prepare this assignment according to the APA guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is/is not required. This assignment uses a rubric.
