For this assignment you are going to be using many of the skills and knowledge you acquired during this course. Below are the links to three current news articles each relating to a different aspect of the course. Select one of these articles and write an approximately 2 page response paper. The goal of this assignment is to show your ability to identify and understand anthropological research. I also want to see your ability to be reflexive or identify your own cultural ideas and how they influence your perspective on the world around you.

Paper Instructions:
Write a 1-2 paragraph overview of what YOU thought the article was about. This should not be a summary of the entire article. I want to see your ability to read and define the key components of anthropological research. Read the article and identify the research question, key findings, and how the research relates to anthropology. In your own words define what each of these are. Be sure to cite the article you selected and any readings from the course that you reference.
Write a 1-2 paragraph reaction statement. What did you think about the research presented in the article? Did you believe it? Find it compelling or relevant to the world today? Explain what criteria you used to assess the article. Use 2 sources from the class to support your perspective on the article.
Write a 1-2 paragraph section reflecting on your response to the article. What underlying social or cultural beliefs contributed to your perspective? The goal of this section is to be highly reflective and consider how your personal experiences contribute to your interpretation and understanding of different topics and perspectives.
