Ovarian Psycos is about a new generation of fierce, unapologetic and feminist women of color from the Eastside of Los Angeles who confront injustice, build community, and redefine identity through a raucous, irreverently named bicycle crew: The Ovarian Psycos Cycle Brigade. This form of political activism and resistance is unorthodox in nature and scope. Why has this form of resistance captured the imagination of the women of the eastside? What are the strengths and possibilities of this form of political activism taking place in other disenfranchised neighborhoods?
