Any oath that protects people is useful. Professionalism, trust, and integrity supported by an oath help employees maintain their ethical duties. The strong words used in the oath, such as create value, loyalty, and care, protect human rights and dignity and developing self and others its integral to the MBA Oath. These crucial words develop self-worth of employees. The only true way for an oath to be utilized is if employees are held accountable for their actions under oath. Therefore, the Harvard MBA oath should be mandatory. In any profession, there should be a level of confidentiality. I find that this is missing in this oath.
