I. You have been assigned with a NFL sport franchise and want to analyze the revenue, and profit (operating income) of this business. Use your previous research data (10 years data 2009-2018) with the financial reports of your assigned franchise from Forbes website. Analyze the data with the use of Desmos.com. 1. Use Desmos.com to draw a scatter plot with years vs. revenue and generate a total revenue function (Polynomial function with degree 2 or higher) R(x).
2. Use the model that you have developed to estimate the total revenue for the year of 2018.
Differentiate the function R'(x) and find the exact rate of change for year 2018. Comment on your finding.
3. Use Desmos to draw a scatter plot with years vs. operating income and generate a total operating Income/Profit function (Polynomial degree 2 or higher) P(x).
