Establishing a Planning Committee
To design and create your new innovative alternative education school or program, you must have a collaborative team that will assist in planning. You read the accreditation standards and what is expected holistically. Today you will read pages 29-31 and pages 41-47 in the course text (Chalker, 1996/2006). These pages will guide you and your group members as you begin planning your committees of personnel that will support the new innovative alternative education school or program you and your team are designing.
Identify members of the planning committee that will assist you and your team.
What are their roles and responsibilities?
What are the needs for the alternative education school or program (see Chalker, 1996/2006, p. 31)?
*Remember the why: Why is this important to the community and the students?
