Graph 1
There are two columns of data on the sheet I gave you (independent, dependent) those are the two columns to use to make the graph. I will not tell you which column to use for x-axis or y-axis that is your job. In excel the x-axis data goes to the left hand side of the y-axis data. When entered you should be able to select the two columns of data, choose insert chart or graph and choose xy scatter plot and get the graph to show up on the page. You will need to add a lable for each axis and a title for the graph by using the tools in excel. You will also need to add a line of best fit and the equation for the line and the R(squared value). Many students do not know how to use a graphing program, this is why we do this lab. You will at some point have to use a data analysis program now is the time to learn. There are many videos online that can help you learn more about using excel or what ever you would like.
Penny graph
The penny graph is different , you will have to sort the data first and then separate the data into three columns using mass in the two right most columns will be the mass data, one with high common mass and one with low common mass. The apply the same lables from graph 1 to this graph. Then you will need to answer the questions at the end of the experimental procedure and include with the graph.
