Lab: Organizational Chart/DeSassure
If you are going to be successful in cybersecurity, one of the first things you need to know about is a company’s
organizational chart. Suppose you are not knowledgeable about the structure of an organization. How can you
provide IT cybersecurity recommendations? That is an excellent question, right. From a Security Architecture
and Design point of view, the ability to create an organizational chart is essential.
An organizational chart provides (or hierarchy charts) the graphical representation of an organization’s structure.
Its purpose is to illustrate the reporting relationships and chains of command within the company. Use the
information below to help you complete this lab assignment.
1. You are required to use the correct SYNTAX or shape as in the example.
2. Your work MUST possess a professional appearance.
3. Free online software is available to help you complete this lab assignment. You may also use (MS Word,
MS Visio, or the software you used for the other assignments within this course).
4. Do not include the cover sheet for this assignment.
5. Add your name and the current date at the top of your lab assignment.
6. Change the page layout to landscape before getting started.
What do you have to do?
Your task for this assignment is to re-create the organizational chart below for a Supermarket Chain. All of the
boxes do not have to be in the same location as in the example, but all boxes MUST be connected to the exact
correct box as in the example. Your design MUST appear on one page. Adjust your margins if necessary.
